Start of project KA5043

The meeting was attended by representatives of Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland, Nature Reserve Kostomukshsky, National park “Vodlozersky” and Nature Reserve Kivach. Another Finnish partner, OulunEneria, was represented by Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland.

At the meeting, the partners went over the background of the project, discussed their respective roles, reassessed the action plan and introduced relevant amendments.

Each nature protected area gave an overview of their pilot objects and the technical expert of the lead partner introduced his preliminary solutions for the ones on the Russian side of the border. Plans for training seminars on both sides of the border and site visits were made.

The accountant of the lead partner guided financial managers of the Russian partners over the rules of Karelia CBC Programme and informed them of the rules of proper accounting, reporting and audit.
