A group of 8 KVK employees visited water supply and water treatment facilities that are both functioning and under construction in two Finnish cities.
On March 26 in Imatra the group visited the city water intake where local water supply engineer presented the functioning infrastructure as well as plans for further construction of a water treatment plant.
On March 26 in Savonlinna the group payed a visit to the active water intake, discussed the matters of maintenance and ensuring the functioning of similar objects of city infrastructure, the operational experience as well as separate issues of the plant’s exploitation.
The participants of the study trip appraised the usefulness of the information obtained in the course of the study trip and the arrangements. The knowledge obtained will be applied during further implementation of project KA6000.
