Modern environmentally friendly technologies and solutions are being implemented in the Urozero training center within the framework of the KA5041 project .

In the renovated building of the pumping station of the 2 lift, on the night of April 8 to 9, 2020, work was completed on connecting a new modular automatic pumping station (MAPS), equipped with Grundfos pumps, to the water distribution network of Sortavala.

In the frame of an online meeting from 24 to 26 March, the LowTEMP partnership live-tested learning material on innovative strategies and tools to plan, finance and manage low-temperature district heating (LTDH) systems.

On March 17, 2020 management of Karelvodokanal visited construction sites of facilities covered by project KA6000: the pumping station of the 1 lift and the pumping station of the 2 lift.

In Sortavala, infrastructure is being built to improve the quality of clean water. The project manager for the EU-Russia joint project is Ilkka Pirhonen from Joensuu, who presented the progress of the project to the Karelian.

An article on project KA5041 Green Nature Based Solutions in Tourism to reduce negative impact on the environment (NatureBEST) was published in a Karjalan Sanomat issue dated 29.01.2020.

On February 26, 2020 partners of KA5043 met in Kostomuksha to visit the pilot site in Kostomukshsky Nature Reserve. At the work meeting of project partners other nature protected areas shared their achievements and plans, and made arrangements for joint events this year.
