Official launch ceremony of the facilities built in the framework of "Clean Ladoga"

The facilities built in the framework of “Clean Ladoga” project by the partners were officially launched on 26 January in Sortavala. They will significantly increase the quality of life of one of the city districts and provide environmental safety of Ladoga.

The head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen took part in the official ceremony and expressed great gratitude for the project implementation.    

“I would like to thank CJSC “Karelvodokanal”, “Clean Ladoga” project partners and Oktyabr’skaya railway.  This significant environmental project became real only thanks to common efforts. I am sure it will enhance ecological situation not only with the Lake but also of the surrounding residential area,” - Khudilainen said.    

Oleg Valinsky – the head of Oktyabr’skaya railway, a branch of OJCS “Russian Railways” – also participated in the ceremony. He pointed out that both Oktyabr’skaya railway and OJCS “Russian Railways” paid lots of attention to environmental issues. This is why he is very delighted that the company made its own contribution to the achievement of a common goal.
