On July 9, 2019, one more step was taken in our Green Solutions (project KA5043 GreenSol): an air-to-air heat pump was installed and commissioned at the most visited building of the Kivach Nature Reserve – at the cafe.
Up to this point, the cafe was heated only with infrared ceiling heaters with a total power of 6 kW, and now we will heat the same cafe with a hot air “cannon” that consumes a maximum of 1.5 kW. It is important that by using such a small amount of electricity the heat pump generates about 5.7 kW of heat. So, the heat pump will definitely provide comfortable conditions for groups of tourists having lunch and for schoolchildren participating in workshops on ecology.
